Road
The airport is close to Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, 12 miles west of Cardiff and 10 miles from junction 33 on the M4.
Exit junction 33 on the M4 and follow the signs to Cardiff International Airport along the A4232, A4050 and A4226. For satellite navigation systems, our postcode is CF62 3BD.
If you are driving to Cardiff International Airport, you will find security measures on the approach roads.
These measures include:
- Entrance to the drop off / pick up area, short term and non booked long term car park is via the Eastern approach, Port Road
- Entrance to the pre booked long term car park is via the Western approach, roundabout with A4226 and B4265
Pick-up and drop-off of passengers takes place in the short term car park close to the terminal and includes a FREE 20 MINUTE waiting period. Please do not pick up/drop off on approach roads as this may create traffic congestion and will also mean a longer walk for your passengers.
Taxi
Checker cars, the official taxi operator for the airport, offers a 24 hour service taking passengers to and from Cardiff
International Airport. There is a taxi booking office located outside the arrivals hall.
Checker cars operate a fixed fare system which is the same 24 hours a day. The approximate cost of a taxi from Cardiff Airport to Cardiff Central is £24.
Passengers requiring assistance can be brought to the front of the terminal building when using Checker cars. Taxis are available on arrival at Cardiff International Airport or can be booked in advance by calling 01446 711747 or by email: cardiff@checkercars.com.

Rail
A rail link connects Rhoose Cardiff International Airport station to Cardiff Central and Bridgend. Trains run hourly Monday to Saturday and two hourly on Sundays. There is a shuttle bus service (free to passengers in possession of a valid train ticket) which meets every train to carry passengers on the short journey to the airport terminal.

Bus
Cardiff bus 'Airbus Xpress' service X91 operates between Cardiff Central station and Cardiff International Airport hourly on
Mondays to Saturdays daytime and every two hours on Sundays.
Additionally, EST transport service 95 operates between Cardiff Central station and Cardiff International Airport via
